Game Date: 7/6/18

Best on the Floor (Alphabetical)

Ysareia Chevre, Minnesota Fury 2020 Gauntlet

5'11" 2020 Tartan H.S.

-Doesn't matter the opponent, because of her strong frame and ability to overpower smaller defenders and turn the corner on bigger ones, Chevre is tough to stop on short, quick drives. Attacks from the wings, baseline and free throw line down, all with the same power and finishing skills. Had 9 in the win. Also a rugged rebounder in traffic to aid her perimeter skills.

Jayda Johnston, Minnesota Fury 2020 Gauntlet

5'11" 2020 Roseville Area H.S.

-Although Johnston isn't overly tall, the damage she inflicts inside is always present. She had back to back scores in the paint to push the Fury 2nd half lead to 5, and a short drive gave her scores on 3 of 4 possessions and the lead grew to 8. She is a very well-disciplined defender, always in great on-ball and help-side position and takes pride in her rebounding. Led Fury with 12 points.

Lilly Keplin, Dakota Drillers 2019

5'10" 2019 Bismarck Century H.S.

-Keplin is a 2019 North Dakota commit. She is able to drive the ball to either side and finish with either hand and keep opponents off with her strength. Has three point touch and a quick release off the top of the key and wings, and can get into her shot and trigger clean looks off the break with a quick stop and pop three point game. Steady scorer, finished with 11 for Drillers.

Natalie Mazurek, Minnesota Fury 2020 Gauntlet

6'3" 2020 Eden Prairie H.S.

-Mazurek was stellar on the defensive glass, cleaning up missed shots, being strong with ball and triggering quality outlet passes for the up-tempo play of the Fury. Gets more comfortable with her face-up game each time out. She has become a consistent mid-range shooter from across the board, and is now starting to show her range will extend out to the arc.

Lauren Ware, Dakota Drillers 2019

6'4" 2020 Bismarck Century H.S.

-Ware had about as good a game as you can come up with in AAU play. Working against other Mid to High Major talents from her class, she poured in 34 points on 12 makes from the floor and 6 more from the stripe. Owns the defensive glass. She is a force on the low block, but with her ability to consistently knock down turn-around jumpers from short to mid-range she becomes even more unstoppable. One of the top 2020 posts in the country.
