May Madness Player Notes: Class of 2026, Segment 1
Claudia Asman, Let It Rain 2026 Murphy
6'0" 2026 Forward, Kimberly HS (WI)
-Looking for a natural talent to play a stretch Forward position at the college level? Asman brings that flow to her game, with sweet shooting skills and the length to get looks over defenders. Comfortable out of the corners or off the wings, she flourishes off drive and kick opportunities. Will rebound her position and when chased off the line she is able to use long strides and attack from the baseline. Going to sneak up on many in recruiting, so let's get the work out.
Grace Fincham, All Iowa Attack 2026 EYBL
5'10" 2026 Guard, Iowa City West HS (IA)
-It's always nice to see players who steadily build their game, and Fincham is in that category. She has good size, can work from the top or wing and score off drives or with her shooting range. She plays with a lot of poise and confidence, trusting in her skill set. Mid to High Major prospect who brings a well-rounded game and intensity on the court every time out. One of those players who always has great production at the end of the night.
Karis Finley, All Iowa Attack 2025 EYBL
5'10" 2026, Cedar Falls HS (IA)
-This is poised to be a break-out summer for Finley, who has all the tools of a Mid to High Major player. Runs the floor extremely well, and has burst in her first step. She also knows how to punish defenders that have to respect her speed with great touch across the arc. Athletic wing with size and strength, a key cog in a very strong, but young, Attack 2025 EYBL group.
Marta Forsline, Minnesota Starks 2024
6'2" 2026, Mesabi East HS (MN)
-Sometimes when you're in Northern Minnesota and play with a team that's not on a shoe circuit, you may miss kids like Forsline, but make no mistake, this kid is starting to emerge as a quality D1 prospect. She is still pretty lean, so she may keep growing, but she is equally comfortable facing the basket or with her back to it. An excellent rebounder who keeps the ball high and converts second chance opportunities. Moves well and gets into the transition game after clearing the glass. Don't sleep on this one.
Ashlyn Koupal, Sanford Sports Academy 2026 Black
6'2" 2026 Guard, Wagner HS (SD)
-With her height and strength Koupal is often asked to defend opposing posts and be an elite rebounder on both ends of the court, which she is, but she an outstanding perimeter game offensively and that's where her college game will emerge. She has ball handling skills, stays balanced on drives and finishes with extension and a feathery touch from the arc. I would expect her to play at the High Major level unless she chooses to play for one of the Powerhouse Mid Majors closer to home. Unique talent.
Francesca McLain, Midwest Elite 2025 EYBL
5'11" 2026 Forward, St Joseph Catholic Academy HS (WI)
-McLain is a Division I prospect and has positional versatility as an added asset. Could see her playing a college 3 Guard/Small Forward or if she continues to grow a big working as a Stretch 4 with her ability to deliver from long range. Possesses Guard skills and has a scorers mentality. She is a player who's going to be arriving on a lot of coaches radars in the near future.
Ellie Muller, All Iowa Attack 2025 Nike Red
6'2" 2026, Dowling Catholic HS (IA)
-Muller is about to emerge in a big way. A very confident young post who has primarily played around the basket, but is starting to grow her face to the rim play. Agile big who moves well in transition and in confined space. Mid Major prospect with High Major potential. Plays for programs that continually churn out top talent, so she will be well-coached and tested.
Tori Oehrlein, Minnesota Suns 2024 S40
5'11" 2026, Crosby-Ironton HS (MN)
-Oehrlein is what you get when you put a big Forwards build into a Point Guards skill set and a Shooting Guards scoring prowess. Simply put, she will end her High School career as one of, if not the, highest scoring player in state history. She is among the best 2026 talents in the country. Possesses great court vision, and thrives playing with older teammates as she gets to showcase her playmaking skills. Positional versatility also makes her a unique prospect. Can run a team in a transition attack or within half-court sets equally effectively.
Alyvia Padgett, SD Network 2026
5'7" 2026, Brandon Valley HS (SD)
-Padgett has a unique feel for how to navigate traffic whether on a drive or a cut, she finds a seem and slips though it quickly. A very productive scorer who can stretch the floor with her range, also creating more drive lanes. Plays a very smooth game, but make no mistake, she can handle physical play and remain balanced and effective.
Savannah Swords, Kia Nurse Elite 2025 EYBL
6'2" 2026 Guard, Long Island Lutheran HS (Ontario)
-Nothing to not like about Swords. She has size, can put the ball on the floor and finish consistently using her length, and is very confident in her mid and long range shooting. One of the best prospects I've seen out of Canada, has Power Five possibilities as a recruit. When she tracks a rebound, she's going to get it. She is very strong with the ball in her hands, whether on the move or with a board. One of the top prospects I saw in Ames.
