This edition of Five Questions and Quick Hitters is with Violet Otto, a member of the newly merged Team Wisconsin/Midwest Magic 2026 club program and a Freshman at Prescott High School (WI). Thanks for your time Violet!

1. You are part of the newly merged Midwest Magic/Team Wisconsin 2026 team for the club season of 2023. What are some of the things you'll be most excited for with this new opportunity?

For the 2023 club season I am most excited to play with some of the top girls  in my area that I have been playing aginst all through youth basketball . I'm also very excited to be coached by Kyleigh Fanning. I think that this new team Wi × Wi magic team  will be a good experience and opportunity for me.

2. As a Freshman now, you'll get to be part of the varsity girls program at Prescott. It may seem like it took a long time to get there, but it'll go fast! What are you most excited for in becoming part of the High School program for 2022-23?

I'm so excited for the 2022-23 season. The thing I look forward most to is playing with the upperclassmen. I would also like to help make my team better and make a trip down to Madison to play for a state title.

3. As you move into the recruiting process who are some of the coaches, former players, relatives, friends, that you think you may be able to go to for advice on how to handle the process?

As I enter the recruiting process I think that Bella Lenz a former Prescott athlete and now a  player at Michigan Tech University would be a good person to talk to.

4. What do you currently consider your biggest basketball skills, your biggest intangibles you bring to the team, and what is one area you're currently growing towards becoming another strength in your game?

I currently feel that I am a very physical player on both ends of the floor. I'm a strong rebounder and have good finishes in the paint. I have also extended my range and became a better long range shooter.

5. What is your favorite memory from your time in youth basketball, either at Prescott or with club basketball?

I have lots of great memory's from the AAU seasons and youth basketball. But my favorite memorie has to be my 6th and 8th grade state tournaments where I earned a  spot on the all state tournament team both times we went. I loved getting to play with the same 8 girls for all of my youth basketball career.
