This edition of Five Questions/Quick Hitters is with Hudsyn Ranschau, a 2026 who played club ball with Arena, which will be joining forces with ETG Midwest Elite. Hudsyn will be a Freshman at Sioux City East High School (IA) this season. Thanks for your time Hudsyn!

1.You recently had a very good showing at the Prep Girls Hoops Nebraska Top 250 Expo. What were some of the things you learned from the camp, and what were some of the lessons you are able to take away from it to help grow your game?

I enjoyed playing at the Prep Girls Hoops Nebraska Event and appreciate the effort they put into helping players get exposure. I have learned that one of the biggest challenges at exposure events is flowing with teammates that I haven’t played with before. To play well it’s important to focus on what you can control. Which is attitude and effort and taking advantage of opportunities.

2.For your upcoming club season, you will be playing with ETG Midwest Elite. What are some of the reasons you've chosen ETG Midwest Elite and are there any older players in the program you would love to work with moving forward?

These past couple years my sister and I have played for Arena. My Arena teammates and I will be joining ETG this coming season and I am grateful for the opportunity. Shane Hennen leads our skill/live play workouts where we get to compete against great players like Britt Prince, Doneelah Washington, and others. I am excited for the opportunity that ETG provides to play on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.

3.Now that you'll be beginning your High School career at Sioux City East, what are some of your goals and expectations for your Freshman season?

I am super excited to play high school basketball this year. My goal is to focus on and enjoy the process with my teammates. If we do this, the hope is to be conference champs and play in the state tournament.

4.As you begin to get fully emersed in the recruiting game, what are some of the key items you will be seeking out in a college both academically and in terms of basketball as well?

I want to go to a school that fits my skill set and the way I play. I also want to have a good relationships with the coaches and players. Academics are also important to me.

5.You are entering your Freshman year at Sioux City East alongside your sister Haevyn. In what ways does it help playing with your sister on the same team? Is there a special chemistry?

Playing with my sister is a fun opportunity that most people don’t have. Of course there are ups and downs, but overall I love playing with my sister. Because we are twins, we do have a special chemistry on the court and sometimes it’s almost like we can read each other’s minds.
