1) As a 2025 you've already garnered a lot of interest in recruiting. What are some of the things you'll be looking for, both academically and from a basketball program, as you get closer to making your decision?

As I get closer to making my decision, I will be paying attention to population, location, choices for my major (still undecided), sports programs, and where is going to be my best fit. Some things I will be looking for academically, is the right major, a schedule busy enough to teach me things but not to overwhelming with sports, a back up major just in case I don’t end up liking mine, and finally, a reasonable amount of work time for my assignments! Some things I will be looking for in the basketball program is the right fit, something that will challenge me and make me learn from my mistakes, a “family” type of team (coaches and players), a coach that has the mentality to win everything, and finally a coach that is willing to talk to me if I have any problems I need to talk about.

2) You recently had a very strong event in Fort Wayne with your Midwest Wildcats team, what were some of your favorite moments from the weekend?

After playing in the Ladies Ball in Fort Wayne,IN I made a lot of great memories that will be remembered forever! Some of my favorite memories I made while being there was the Friday night get together, we all got to meet each other and do activities outside of basketball that weren’t so competitive and were just for fun. Another memory I made was going into the championship game loosing! This may seem crazy! This was a memory for me because even though I played a great game, I still made a lot of mistakes that I learned from. I also thought the mood around the court as we were warming up was the best feeling ever, all the parents and teams were watching a championship game to see who was going to the next level! Finally my last favorite memory I made was the times I spent with my team after and in-between games! We were all together either hanging out or talking about how we are going to perform out next games and what we need to improve on to win! I loved this because it made us feel like a family the way we shared all of our thoughts and came together on things! Overall, I thought it was a great way to celebrate  for women in sports! #ourtime!

3) You've done a good job promoting yourself on Social Media, including Hudl. What are some of the ways you're trying to stay ahead of the game in recruiting by utilizing your Social Media?

Some ways I’m trying to stay ahead of the game in recruiting by using my social media is spreading my name around everywhere! I am trying to tag the smaller schools first to get them to recognize me then as I get more recognition I will like to start tagging bigger schools! I like to add my game film from my HUDL account because it proves to them who I am as a player! I’m trying post a few times a week so they don’t forget who I am and keep my in mind for the future! I try to post workouts, highlights, quotes, and my academics!

4) You had a great season last year as a team at Ottawa. What are some of your individual and team goals for the 2022-23 season?

After being a freshman on varsity at Ottawa last year and seeing what my role is this year I have many goals for myself! Some goals I have for me is to be a leader, average 10-15 points a game, 8-10 rebounds a game, and 7-10 assists a game, I would also like to prove myself to the other schools, help my teammates improve their games, get athlete of the week, and finally I would like to be an all conference player! I believe these goals are pretty reasonable if I stick to how my game is going and keep improving everyday!

5)  Who are some of the role models in your life and what are some of the qualities you admire most about them?

I have 2 main role models in my life! My main role model is my mother! My mom has gone through a lot growing up and has showed me that anything can be done when you put your mind to it! She is an independent business owner and a mom with 2 kids and 2 dogs! She stands with me through my tough times and pushes me to be the best player and person I can be! She knows that even when times are tough God is there and will always help you if you have faith! Overall, she has taught me everything I need to know right now and I couldn’t be more thankful for her! My second role model in my life is my grandpa! My grandpa was a basketball, baseball, football, and cross country player in high school! He never went to college for some personal reasons! He was inducted into the hall of fame at his high school a few years ago. He is a role model to me because even when I have a good game and pushes me to be better the next time. After each game or match he will give me pointers on what to fix! We used to go workout every morning in the summer! He always is pushing me to be the best athlete I can possibly be and making sure my grades are still good! Finally, I would like to thank him for everything he’s done and that one day I will make it for him!
