This edition of Five Questions is with Riley Ketterhagen. Riley is a Division I level prospect in the 2026 class, who played club ball this season with Wisconsin Playmakers Thrive 2026 and will be an incoming Freshman at Oostburg High School (WI). Thanks for your time Riley!

1) You just wrapped up a strong season with one of the best 2026 teams in the region, Wisconsin Playmakers Thrive 2026, what were some of your favorite memories of the most recently concluded season?
It’s definitely hard to pick my most memorable moments from the summer because of the team I play with, like you mentioned. If I had to choose some of the most memorable ones, it would be a very competitive game against North Tartan in Chicago because they are a top program and by the middle part of the game it really seemed as though we were the game to watch because of the college coaches and fans that stopped to watch. Also, I loved hanging out with my team at all the road trips, we are a very close bunch!
2) Congratulations on your recent offer from Milwaukee. As you begin your journey into recruiting what are some of the things you'll be looking for in a school and a basketball program?
Thank you for the acknowledgment on the offer. I am very humbled and even more motivated by it. I am looking for the ability to continue to be supported in my education as it is very important for me to be a student first, as well as having the ability to become a more well-rounded basketball player for a solid program.
3) What are some of the best pieces of advice you've received so far about how to approach the recruiting process?
Coach Buss has taught me a lot of high-level skill work in order to take me to a higher level on the court. Through his coaching, and discussion, I have learned to be patient through the long process of the evaluation periods and different discussions with college coaches along the way. I wouldn’t be in a position I am right now if it weren’t for my dad coaching me my whole life. I do know that the process will continue to take all kinds of turns, but if I continue to work hard, I know I will have more opportunities that will come my way.
4) You will be an incoming Freshman at Oostburg. What are some of your individual and team goals for the 2022-23 season?
My ultimate goal is to be playing on varsity my freshman year. And I think as always, a team goal is to take conference and to get as far as we can in playoffs. As far as individual goals, I want to continue to improve on my overall game.
5) I see in you're bio you are a huge Caitlin Clark fan. What are some of the things that Caitlin does that have made you such a huge fan of hers?
Caitlin Clark is an unbelievable basketball player that can score in so many different ways and if she’s not scoring she’s affecting the game in other ways for her team. I love how hard she works at her game, and more importantly, how good of a person she seems to be as I follow her on social media. And when I saw Coach Bluder, and I told her how much I liked Iowa and Caitlin Clark, she said Caitlin was an even better person than a player, and I thought that was pretty cool.
